What is slow fashion?

The Slow Fashion concept was founded in 2007 by Kate Fletcher. Slow Fashion is a concept that should be the opposite of today's norm in the fashion industry where large chains and brands make several collections that quickly become obsolete in large volumes, which has a major impact on the environment.

Kate Fletcher instead advocates unique and timeless designs that are produced in small volumes.

Example of Slow Fashion:

  • Slow down and choose quality over quantity
  • Timeless design so that the garment does not feel out of date quickly
  • Buy fewer garments and that the ones purchased can be used for a longer period
  • High quality for longer durability
  • Recycle clothes by leaving them for textile recycling, second hand or change of clothes days
  • Reduce consumption of new items and become aware of the impact of consumption

How do we implement Slow Fashion in our concept.

We have invested in a timeless design that will work for a long time.

Quality is a high priority in all our choices so that you can use the garments a lot and for a long time.

We produce in smaller volumes.

You can also find other uses for the shorts, such as when you play sports

You can help by taking care of your garments in the best way:

  • Always follow the washing instructions - swimwear should not be washed too hot
  • Never use fabric softener on swimwear (many other clothes are also damaged by fabric softener and it is bad for the environment, so our advice is to never use fabric softener)
  • Do not wash clothes too often, it is best for swimwear to be rinsed in cold water without detergent
  • Rinse your swimwear with tap water after bathing in salt or chlorinated water
We hope you will be able to enjoy your garments from Moonrise of Sweden for a long time to come!
