…but we tripped and fell head over heels!
If you're one of all the lovely people who waited to buy this year's Shortsini swim shorts and are wondering where they went, here are a few words on the matter.
With extreme price increases from our first production unit, we decided to change factories for this year's season. However, it did not go well. First, it took a very long time to get the quality as good as we required, so the delivery was severely delayed to begin with. But when we finally got it the way we wanted it, production started and we got a final delivery date. Then we thought everything was finally resolved. But, it had only just begun... Only when the entire collection had been sewn up did they discover that there had been large color changes in the fabric. As a result, the garments had different shades on the different sections of fabric. Nothing from the entire collection could be used.
We were now already in the beginning of June and had missed a large part of the season. This was a disaster! But the factory was convinced that they could solve the problem with a heat treatment of the fabric and promised us prompt delivery. However, they did not succeed and informed us a couple of weeks later that they could not deliver our shorts at all.
We have gone through many emotions in this process and at times wondered if the company can even survive this. But we have decided to fight on and are now working on finding a good solution for next year.
Considering the great response we received from our customers and how much need there seems to be for our stuff, we sincerely hope that we will manage to find a good solution for next year!
